At 10:50am this morning, I saw “Silver Linings Playbook” with a girlfriend who shall remain nameless. It was awesome. I don’t feel the least bit guilty. Instead of obsessing over how many errands I could cram into that two-hour window, I relaxed and enjoyed a piece of art. I thought of how we human beings are deliciously, fascinatingly complex – and how our intertwining lives amplify that complexity. I thought of how life is messy and beautiful and terrible.
Here is the email I sent myself after the movie:
People are complex full of contradictions life is messy decompartmentalize life is messy and beautiful laugh don’t cry
All that for five bucks. Not bad for a Friday morning, right?
